Mark Zuckerberg took a new “personal challenge” last year. It was not losing weight or shutting down Facebook, but slaughtering the meat that he ate!

Zuckerberg, the 27-year-old CEO of the world’s largest social networking site, Facebook, chooses a new challenge each year to help himself get away from all things about Facebook and “l(fā)earn more about the world.” In 2009, Zuckerberg wore a tie every day. in 2010, he spent an hour each day learning Chinese. “I’ve always found learning new languages challenging, so I wanted to jump in and try to learn a hard one. There’s no easy way to learn languages—you just need to practice and practice,” Zuckerberg said.

For 2011, Zuckerberg decided he would enjoy his food more if he learned the process of killing the animal and cooking it.

“I think many people forget that a living being has to die for you to eat meat, so I want myself to remember that and be thankful for what I have,” Zuckerberg said. “So far, this has been a good experience. I’m eating much healthier food and I’ve learned a lot about farming and the raising of animals.”
