The Party's eight-point frugality code refers to the eight-point decision on improving Party and government conduct and building closer ties with the people made by the Political Bureau of the 18th CPC Central Committee, namely, to improve research methods, reduce meetings and celebratory events, reduce issuance of documents and briefings, reasonably arrange outbound visits, streamline security arrangements, reduce media coverage of high-ranking officials, prohibit publication under an individual's name, and practice frugality.
