At the 12th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), held from Sept 1 to 11, 1982, Deng Xiaoping proposed the idea of "integrating the universal truth of Marxism with the concrete realities of China, blazing a path of our own and building socialism with Chinese characteristics". The congress adopted the report, “Creating a New Situation in All Fields of Socialist Modernization”, and decided to set up the Central Advisory Commission of the CPC.
1982年9月1日—11日，中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨第十二次全國(guó)代表大會(huì)舉行。鄧小平提出，把馬克思主義的普遍真理同我國(guó)的具體實(shí)際結(jié)合起來(lái)，走自己的道路，建設(shè)有中國(guó)特色的社會(huì)主義。大會(huì)通過(guò)報(bào)告《全面開創(chuàng)社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化建設(shè)的新局面》，決定設(shè)立中央顧問(wèn)委員會(huì)。
