China's State Council has approved setting up more cross-border e-commerce pilot zones in 27 cities and regions as the government seeks to stabilize foreign trade and foreign investments.
為全力以赴穩住外貿外資基本盤，國務院日前批復同意在鄂爾多斯市、揚州市等27個城市和地區設立跨境電子商務綜合試驗區。

The new pilot zones, including those in Erdos in Inner Mongolia and the city of Yangzhou in Jiangsu province, will replicate and advance the experience learned from the previous five batches of pilot zones according to a statement released by the State Council.
國務院2月8日發布消息稱，本批27個城市和地區將復制推廣前五批綜合試驗區成熟經驗做法。

Since 2015, China's State Council has established 105 cross-border e-commerce pilot zones in five batches.
2015年以來，我國已經分5批設立了105個跨境電商綜試區。

The new business model has become a driver of China's foreign trade growth.

>Gu wins historic big air gold
谷愛凌自由式滑雪大跳臺奪冠

China's prodigy Gu Ailing claimed a historic gold with a career-first 1620 during the women's freeski big air event of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games at Big Air Shougang on Tuesday, while Tess Ledeux of France and Mathilde Gremaud of Switzerland took silver and bronze, respectively. With a combined score of 188.25 points -- 93.75 from her first run and 94.5 from the third — Gu came back strong from third place before the final run to take the gold as the event made its Olympic debut.

>New loan policy announced for affordable housing
保障性租賃住房貸款出新政

China will not include affordable rental housing loans in the management system that sets caps on real estate loans, the country's central bank said Tuesday. Financial institutions should scale up support for affordable rental housing in accordance with the law while managing risks and pursuing sustained development, according to a statement jointly issued by the People's Bank of China and the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission.
中國人民銀行、銀保監會2月8日公布相關通知，明確保障性租賃住房項目有關貸款不納入房地產貸款集中度管理，鼓勵銀行業金融機構按照依法合規、風險可控、商業可持續的原則，加大對保障性租賃住房發展的支持力度。

The move is expected to increase loan issuances for affordable rental housing projects and aims to further improve the country's housing support system, the PBOC said.
央行表示，此舉將增加對保障性租賃住房項目的貸款發放，旨在進一步完善我國的住房保障體系。

>China's nuclear reactor wins approval in Britain
'華龍一號'通過英國通用設計審查

China's Hualong One, a domestically designed third-generation nuclear reactor, has been confirmed adequate for use in Britain, designer China General Nuclear Power Corporation said on Monday.
2月7日，中國廣核集團發布消息稱，我國自主研發的第三代核電技術“華龍一號”通過英國通用設計審查。

The reactor has met the standard of the Generic Design Assessment, according to a joint statement issued on Monday by the British Office for Nuclear Regulation and the Environment Agency. Before being put into use, the new technology must pass an assessment led by the ONR and EA to determine its safety and environmental impact. ONR has issued a Design Acceptance Confirmation and EA has issued a Statement of Design Acceptability to the reactor.
英國核監管辦公室和環境署2月7日發布聯合聲明，確認華龍一號通過英國通用設計審查（GDA），并于當日為華龍一號頒發設計認可確認和設計可接受性聲明證書。在英國使用新核電技術建設核電站之前要進行通用設計審查，對安全性和環境影響進行評估，這兩方面評估分別由英國核監管辦公室和環境局負責。

CGN and French state-owned power giant EDF signed deals with the British government in September 2016 for three projects in Britain.
2016年9月，中廣核與法國電力集團、英國政府簽署了英國新建三個核電項目的協議。

The project, based in Bradwell, Essex, is expected to use the Hualong One technology.
根據協議，“華龍一號”在通過英國通用設計審查后，將用于該國布拉德韋爾B核電項目建設。
