China saw a total of 160 million domestic tourist trips during the five-day May Day holiday, down 30.2 percent from last year, according to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Wednesday.
文化和旅游部5月4日發(fā)布的數(shù)據(jù)顯示，"五一"假期全國國內(nèi)旅游出游1.6億人次，同比減少30.2%；

Tourism revenue reached 64.68 billion yuan, down 42.9 percent from last year, according to the ministry.
實現(xiàn)國內(nèi)旅游收入646.8億元，同比減少42.9%。

The ministry said people's desire for travel remains high despite the epidemic, as many chose to embark on short-distance tours in or near their homes. Camping trips and homestays saw a boom thanks to the surge, according to the ministry.
文旅部表示，盡管新冠疫情導致出游半徑受限，但人們的旅游意愿仍然很高，許多人選擇短途游，帶動戶外露營和鄉(xiāng)村民宿升溫。

>China sets up world's highest automatic weather station
我國在珠峰架設世界最高氣象站

Chinese scientific researchers on Wednesday established an automatic meteorological monitoring station at an altitude of over 8,800 meters, making it the world's highest of its kind, on Mount Qomolangma on the China-Nepal border.
5月4日，我國科考隊員成功在中尼邊境的珠穆朗瑪峰建立了一個海拔8800多米的自動氣象監(jiān)測站，這是世界上海拔最高的自動氣象監(jiān)測站。

Including the new weather station, eight elevation gradient meteorological stations have been set up on Mount Qomolangma -- one of the main tasks in China's new comprehensive scientific expedition on the world's highest peak, at a height of 8,848.86 meters.
此次完成氣象站架設后，就形成珠峰地區(qū)8個氣象梯度觀測站點，這是中國在這座海拔8848.86米的世界最高峰上進行全面科學考察的主要任務之一。

Also on Wednesday, 13 members of the expedition team reached the summit of Mount Qomolangma.
當日，13名珠峰科考隊員成功登頂珠穆朗瑪峰。

At the summit, the squad measured the thickness of the ice and snow using high-accuracy radar for the first time, and collected samples for further research.
除了架設氣象站，登頂科考隊員還完成了利用高精度雷達測量冰雪厚度、采集冰雪樣品等峰頂科考任務。

>Migrant workers enjoy higher income in 2021
去年農(nóng)民工月均收入4432元

China's migrant workers from rural areas enjoyed higher incomes and better living conditions in 2021, official data showed.
4月29日，國家統(tǒng)計局發(fā)布報告稱，我國農(nóng)民工收入穩(wěn)步增長，居住條件改善。

In 2021, migrant workers in the country earned an average of 4,432 yuan per month, increasing by 8.8 percent year on year, according to a report released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
報告顯示，2021年農(nóng)民工月均收入4432元，比上年增長8.8%。

Migrant workers in the manufacturing industry saw their monthly income surge 10.1 percent last year, NBS said.
其中，從事制造業(yè)農(nóng)民工月均收入比上年增長10.1%。

The living area per capita of China's migrant workers climbed 0.2 square meters, to 21.7 square meters in 2021, and 95.6 percent of migrant workers have access to the Internet, said the report.
2021年，進城農(nóng)民工人均居住面積21.7平方米，比上年增加0.2平方米，居住住房中能上網(wǎng)的占95.6%。

NBS data also showed that the population of China's migrant workers reached 292.51 million in 2021, an increase of 6.91 million over the previous year.
報告顯示，2021年全國農(nóng)民工總量29251萬人，比上年增加691萬人。

>US secretary of state tests positive for COVID-19
美國務卿布林肯新冠檢測陽性

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, a State Department spokesman said.
美國國務院5月4日表示，國務卿布林肯當天的新冠病毒檢測結(jié)果呈陽性。

Blinken tested positive on Wednesday afternoon via a PCR test, Ned Price said in a statement. Blinken was fully vaccinated and boosted against the virus, and "is experiencing only mild symptoms," he said. Price said that Blinken "will isolate at home and maintain a virtual work schedule." According to Price, Blinken has not seen President Joe Biden in person for several days.
美國務院發(fā)言人普賴斯發(fā)表聲明說，布林肯當天下午的新冠病毒檢測結(jié)果呈陽性，目前癥狀輕微，將暫時居家隔離并遠程辦公。普賴斯說，布林肯已接種兩劑新冠疫苗和加強針，過去數(shù)日未與總統(tǒng)拜登見面。
