湖南強降雨已致179萬人受災

A total of 1.79 million people in Central China's Hunan province have been affected by heavy rain, which has lashed the province since June 1, according to local authorities. Ten people have been killed, and three remain missing as of Wednesday, said Li Dajian, an official from the provincial flood control and drought relief headquarters. Over 2,700 houses have collapsed or been seriously damaged, and around 286,000 people have been evacuated, Li said.

Temporary relief funds and supplies have also been issued to mitigate the impact of the rain.

去年全國法院審結環境資源一審案件超26萬件

Chinese courts nationwide concluded 265,341 environmental and resource cases in 2021, up 4.76 percent year on year, according to a report released by the Supreme People's Court on Sunday, which was World Environment Day.
6月5日是世界環境日，最高人民法院發布《中國環境資源審判（2021）》。《報告》顯示，2021年，全國法院審結環境資源一審案件265341件，同比上升4.76%。

By the end of last year, 2,149 specialized judicial organs for environmental and resource cases had been established across the country, according to the report.
截至2021年底，全國共設立環境資源專門審判機構和審判組織2149個。

The global economy is on track to grow by 2.9 percent in 2022, down 1.2 percentage points from the January projection, the World Bank Group said in its latest Global Economic Prospects released on Tuesday, warning of stagflation risk.

>World's biggest four-day work week test begins

Thousands of UK workers are starting a four-day work week from Monday with no cut to their pay, in the largest trial of its kind. The test, which will last for six months, involves 3,300 workers spanning 70 companies, ranging from providers of financial services to a fish-and-chip restaurant.
