Relevant authorities on the Chinese mainland will suspend the entry of citrus fruits and two types of fish products from the Taiwan region starting Wednesday, a spokesperson said. The entry of citrus fruits including grapefruits, lemons and oranges, as well as chilled largehead hairtail and frozen horse mackerel from Taiwan, will be suspended in accordance with the mainland's relevant regulations, and food safety requirements, said Ma Xiaoguang, a spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.
國臺辦發言人馬曉光8月3日表示,根據有關進出口方面的規定,以及食品安全要求和標準,有關部門即日起對從臺灣地區輸往大陸的葡萄柚、檸檬、橙等柑橘類水果和冰鮮白帶魚、凍竹莢魚采取暫停輸入措施。

As of Sunday, the US has had at least 385 mass shootings this year, according to the latest data from the Gun Violence Archive (GVA), a non-profit organization that tracks gun-related violence in the country.

About seven tons of water containing radioactive elements leaked from the third reactor of the Mihama nuclear power plant in Fukui Prefecture, central Japan, The Nikkei reported on Monday, citing the operator Kansai Electric Power Co.
