The gross domestic product (GDP) of 31 provinces, autonomous regions and cities of China was announced by July 30, with 15 regions surpassing the country's H1 GDP growth of 5.5 percent and 13 exceeding 6 percent, according to a report of news portal ThePaper.com on July 31, citing local statistics bureaus.
據澎湃新聞7月31日援引地方統計局的數據報道，截至7月30日，31個省份、自治區和直轄市2023年上半年GDP數據已全部出爐。15個地區上半年GDP增速高于5.5%的全國水平，13個地區上半年GDP增速超過6%。

China's GDP grew 5.5 percent year-on-year to 59.3 trillion yuan ($8.3 trillion) in the first half of 2023, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed on July 17.
國家統計局7月17日的數據顯示，2023年上半年國內生產總值59.3萬億元，同比增長5.5%。

The GDP growth of Shanghai, Hainan province and Tibet autonomous region surpassed 8 percent with Shanghai as the highest at 9.7 percent.
上海、海南和西藏的GDP增速均超過8%，其中上海以9.7%的增速位列第一。

Jilin province and Inner Mongolia autonomous region registered GDP growth higher than 7 percent, while Sichuan province and Beijing's GDP growth are equal to that of the country's 5.5 percent, the report said.

The GDP of Guangdong and Jiangsu provinces reached 6.29 and 6.05 trillion yuan, respectively, in the first half of the year, successfully crossing the six trillion yuan threshold.

Shanghai, Hebei province and Beijing passed through the 2 trillion threshold, with GDP reaching 2.14, 2.08 and 2.06 trillion yuan, respectively.

Guizhou province in Southwest China crossed the 1 trillion threshold and registered GDP at 1.02 trillion yuan in the first half.

The per capita disposable income of Beijing and Shanghai reached 42,870 and 41,358 yuan in the first half, topping the whole country.

Zhejiang province, Jiangsu province, and Tianjin placed the top 3 to 5 in per capita disposable income in the first half of the year, reaching 34,317, 27,795, and 26,655 yuan, respectively.
居民可支配收入排名第三至第五的省份為浙江、江蘇、天津，分別達到34317元、27795元和26655元。

The design of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic torch was unveiled on Tuesday, marking almost a year until the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games.
當地時間25日，2024 年巴黎奧運會和殘奧會火炬的設計揭開面紗，這也標志著距離巴黎奧運會開幕式還有近一年的時間。

The torch, measuring 70 centimeters, is made with lightweight radiant steel and is distinguished by its champagne color.
巴黎奧運會火炬整體呈香檳金色，以鋼為原材料，全長70厘米。

"Such a project is a dream for a designer, because it's a project that combined everything – symbolic, technical – in one, for a big moment," creator Mathieu Lehanneur said.
設計者、法國著名設計師馬修?勒漢紐爾表示：“能夠為奧運會設計火炬，是每一位設計師夢寐以求的，因為它是一個集象征性、技術性于一體的項目，這是一個重要的時刻。”

The designer of the torch, revealed that he drew inspiration from three Paris 2024 symbols — equality, water and peace.

Equality is symbolized by perfect symmetry. Peace is symbolized by the gentleness of the curves. The lower half features a relief pattern that mimics the movement of the River Seine, along which the opening ceremony will be held.
火炬整體對稱的設計突出了“平等”的理念，其圓潤的線條體現了“和平”的理念，而火炬下部水波紋的設計則代表了此次奧運會舉辦地巴黎的塞納河。

Equality means putting the same ambition into organizing the Paralympic Games as the Olympic Games. Following on from the emblem and the mascots, the Olympic and Paralympic Games will share the same Torch design.

Equality in the Paris 2024 project is also reflected in the strong commitment to parity in the Olympic Games: for the first time in the history of the Games, as many women as men will take part in the competitions.
