More school-aged children have reported being cyberbullied than before the pandemic, according to the report by the World Health Organization (WHO).

The study surveyed more than 279,000 young people from 44 countries and regions.

In Wales, where nearly 37,000 young people were surveyed, 17% reported experiencing cyberbullying.

The Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) survey suggests the proportion of adolescents who reported being cyberbullied has increased since 2018, from 12% to 15% for boys and 13% to 16% for girls.

In England, where more than 4,200 young people were surveyed, nearly one in five (19%) reported being cyberbullied at least once or twice in the past couple of months, and 11% reported cyberbullying others.

The report said there was an "urgent need" to educate young people, families and schools of the forms of cyberbullying and its implications.

Dr Hans Henri P. Kluge, WHO regional director for Europe, said: "Focusing on virtual types of peer violence is now an urgent priority to safeguard the health and wellbeing of populations of adolescents and young people, and cyberbullying must be viewed as a major issue for societies.

New quality productive forces refer to advanced productivity freed from traditional economic growth modes and productivity development paths. It features high technology, high efficiency and high quality, and is in line with the new development philosophy.
新質生產力指的是擺脫傳統經濟增長方式、生產力發展路徑,具有高科技、高效能、高質量特征,符合新發展理念的先進生產力質態。
Noting that the goal of new quality productive forces is aligned with the company's growth strategy, Song Hailiang, chairman of the company, said at the sub-forum that innovation is the core driving force of new quality productive forces.

Similar views were shared by Liu Yong, chairman and founder of DAS Solar, a Chinese high-tech enterprise that exemplifies innovation in the photovoltaic industry.

According to him, the outstanding element of new quality productive forces should be innovation, as it is only through innovation that enterprises can attain core competitiveness.

"China has done considerable work in energy and transportation innovation. China pursues green, innovative and high-quality development while achieving rapid economic growth," said Zafar Uddin Mahmood, policy advisor to the Secretary General of BFA.

For years, Pakistan has been engaged in cooperation with China under the Belt and Road Initiative, with Chinese companies helping a lot in the development of Pakistan's energy and transportation sectors, Mahmood noted.
扎法爾還特別提到巴基斯坦與中國在“一帶一路”倡議下的合作。他強調,中國在巴基斯坦的能源和交通項目中發揮了關鍵作用。
