耳邊聽人說起cosplay這個詞好像有一段時間了，據說是跟日本漫畫有關，還說是年輕人們喜歡的活動。那么這個cosplay到底是什么意思呢？
Cosplay (costume play) is a Japanese subculture centered on dressing as characters from manga (comics), anime, and video games, and, less commonly, Japanese live action television shows, Japanese movies, or Japanese pop music bands. However, in some circles, "cosplay" has been expanded to mean simply wearing a costume.
Cosplay（costume play，“角色扮演”一詞的英文縮寫形式）是日本的一種亞文化現象，主要的形式是參與者將自己打扮成漫畫、動畫或者視頻游戲中的角色；有些不太常見的cosplay中人們也會將自己裝扮成日本電視劇、電影或者流行樂隊中的角色。不過，在某些領域，cosplay的概念已經被擴大，任何穿著劇服的行為都可以被稱為是cosplay。
While having thrived in Japan for more than 20 years, the cosplay culture has just recently become popular in China, and the craze for cosplay is the latest trend hitting Hong Kong's teenagers, who are already immersed in a pervasive culture of Japanese anime and gaming.
Cosplay在日本雖然已經興盛了20多年，但在中國才剛剛興起，深受日本動畫和游戲影響香港的青少年是cosplay在中國的新近追捧者。
